About the Course

Plone developers are already productive and innovative. But the new Zope 3 component architecture, which is part of Plone 2.5 and above, makes it even easier and faster to build powerful add-on Products that are both manageable and reusable.

Zope 3 enables you to develop products as collections of components. The Zope 3 Training for Plone Developers course provides students with the knowledge required to create these components. This course is intended for students with little or no Zope 3 knowledge but at least some experience developing add-on Products for Plone using the Archetypes framework. This is a hands-on class and we will be working with Plone 2.5 release.

Please see the syllabus page.

Registration

The training has better addressed our needs than any other that has been offered. The key element that made it useful to us is that it addressed Zope 3 technologies in relation to Plone. An area where good documentation and tutorials are scarce to non-existent. The training session is so practical and relevant to those trying to bridge the gap from the Zope 2 world to Zope 3 and Plone 3.
