Chemweb.com is the largest online chemical community in the world. Jazkarta assisted in the migration of the site from a commercial CMS to Plone. This involved building new content types using Archetypes, migrating 600,000 members from Oracle to PostgreSQL, and importing journals and articles from recurring XML data sources. For this project, we developed a new product SQLPASPlugin which utilizes the Pluggable Authentication Service (PAS) for authenticating users in Plone whose info is stored in the PostgreSQL database.

CoreBlox NetAssist is a hosted solution that is specifically designed for support and service organizations. NetAssist is a Plone-based service that offers trouble ticket tracking, case management, personalization, advanced search and knowledgebase. Jazkarta provided a one-day training session to get CoreBlox developers up to speed with Plone, and assisted with the development of the NetAssist dashboard.

The SKNWorldwide.net website is a collaborative workspace to
facilitate stakeholder and topical research, implement projects and
build social networks of organizations, institutions and people driving
sustainability and a better quality of life for all. Jazkarta was hired
to expand the stakeholder channels with blogs, discussion areas and
other workgroup tools.

The US Climate Action Network wanted to offer their members an
online service to form working groups and share resources, including
documents, event calendars, links, etc. Jazkarta developed a solution
using Plone that provides online member registration, membership
directory and workgroup functionality allowing members to collaborate
with each other.

The System for Adult Basic Education Support has six regional centers in Massachusetts, each of which offers classes. They wanted to offer students the ability to see events for each region and provide an aggregated calendar with all events. They also wanted to give website visitors the option of registering for events online. Jazkarta developed a web calendaring application and event registration system using Plone, which has improved their service and greatly reduced the administrative overhead. Dezynepad

Dezynepad is an online workplace for residential design. The service provides designers and their clients to collaborate on all aspects of the design process. Jazkarta assisted in the development of the end-user views using Plone and Five (Zope 3 technology) and back-end scripts that create new sites on-the-fly.
Free Bandwidth Project

The Free Bandwidth Project is a unique service to provide free
bandwidth for bloggers who want to serve large video, audio or software
downloads from their website. Jazkarta developed the site registration
functionality of their Plone site by building a new member type (using
CMFMember) and storing the registration data in a MySQL database (using
SQLStorage). This allows them to use database reporting tools for
statistical analysis of members and more easily integrate with their ad
serving software.

Bookchips.com is a site that sells audio books on microchips. Jazkarta helped to optimize the Plone website to handle the increase in online shoppers.
Give Kids the World Village

The Give Kids the World website has a Flash front-end and a Plone backend. Jazkarta developed the Family Alumni area of the site and assisted with general maintenance of the site, including a migration from Zope 2.6/Plone 1.0 to Zope 2.7/Plone 2.0.
Learning Lab Denmark

This Danish public research institution needed a bilingual website that would grow with their needs. They had previously been using a proprietary CMS which required too much technical know-how to use and was not able to adapt to the changing structure of the organization. We chose Plone and it turned out to be a huge success. After switching to Plone, the site scored 5/5 and was runner-up in the prestigious Bedst på Nettet (Best on the Net) competition. Aberdeen Recording Studios

Aberdeen Recording Studios needed a way to manage the content on their website, and so Jazkarta migrated their static HTML site to Plone and integrated existing design within the Plone framework. They now have the ability to add news and photos to the site without having to install any special software on their computer. All that is needed is a web browser!
