MercuryCSC is a creative communications agency specializing in outdoor brands and travel destinations. They excel at providing brand-building services for an audience that doesn't appreciate typical advertising and marketing approaches. Mercury's work for the Montana Office of Tourism - awarded a Silver Effie in 2011 - has been widely recognized as one of the most effective and innovative examples of tourism marketing in the US.
As part of that work Mercury created the Get Lost brand, tapping into the enthusiasm of Montana residents and visitors. The campaign included a bumper sticker which went viral across the state, and a website - GetLostMT.com - where people can share their favorite Montana places, stories, and trips. Sites like Yelp or Trip Advisor do a good job of crowd sourcing reviews, but they don't cover the little guys in a rural state like Montana very well. The Get Lost site fills that need, and it also provides "trip ideas" to the offbeat and out-of-the-way spots that appeal to its target audience: geotravelers, people who appreciate authenticity and value experiences over stuff.
Mercury turned to Jazkarta for assistance with the Get Lost mobile app because of our Django expertise and our agile approach. We turned their mockups into user stories which were implemented in a series of one week iterations. GetLostMT.com was already a Django site; to support the app we added a backend API based on the Tastypie webservice framework, and improved the location services by adding GeoDjango. We developed iOS and Android mobile apps using the PhoneGap framework with jQuery Mobile, which allowed us to keep the code base as platform neutral as possible. We met some unexpected challenges along the way, but constant attention to priorities ensured that the client was happy with the end result.

CloudLock

CloudLock is a cloud data protection company that enables control of data while gaining the collaboration and cost savings benefits of the cloud. CloudLock's enterprise-class products are directly integrated with cloud application providers and are immediately available at a fraction of the cost.
Jazkarta was hired to build from scratch a tool to scan a company's Google Docs repository, and provide reports on potential security vulnerabilities. This tool ended up being so successful, that CloudLock (named Aprigo at the time) pivoted the entire company to focus on this one product.
We recommended using Django and Python on top of Google App Engine, and shepherded CloudLock through the various limitations of Google App Engine, to build an extremely scalable and successful SaaS product.

HaiVision Network Video is a world leader in delivering the most advanced video networking technology and IP video distribution solutions. HaiVision engaged Jazkarta to move their existing website onto the Plone platform.
Jazkarta used Deliverance to theme the initial Plone site using the client's existing HTML templates, allowing for fast development and quick relaunch. See our talk Easier and Faster Plone theming with Deliverance and xdv from Plone Conference 2010 (Haivision case study starts on slide #35).
Jazkarta also worked to integrate their Plone site with Salesforce.com This allows customer data to flow seamlessly between the two systems to supply advanced registration, authentication and site visitor and download tracking functionality.
